Avowed – Epic First-Person RPG
Obsidian Entertainment just revealed it’s new epic style RPG set in the fantasy world of Eora and it looks amazing. At the Xbox Game Showcase, we got our first look at this expansive adventure. As huge fans of the RPG genre, we have long been awaiting Skyrim’s heir apparent (I still to this day spend a lot of time in Tamriel). Other attempts to capture this magic have fallen short. Even ESO’s MMO version didn’t cut it for me, but finally we have a serious contender.
The trailer hints at a dark history of war and evil, pacts that have been made and possibly broken, and the weight of a mission that could define the destiny of the world. I am already hooked on the story component. The magic system has a familiar look but with some new twists and the momentary glimpse of gameplay graphics look great. I can’t wait to see the next round of trailers and gameplay. I for one will be eagerly awaiting the detail of this one as they rollout.
This game will be coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10 PCs, although there is no release date at this time. More news to come.
